trees and unique attractions that covers much of the 60-mile-deep tip
of southern Illinois.
Giant City
State Park is a 3,694-acre natural park with massive stone structures
created by nature, abundant plants, wildflowers, flowering trees and
unique rock formations.
Rend Lake is
the gem of Franklin County to the north of Marion. It contains 19,000
water acres and surrounding 21,000 acres of public land, with
attractions that bring over two million visitors to the area each
year.
